VaultAI Terms of Use
Acceptance
By installing and using VaultAI ("the Extension"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the Extension.
AI Output Disclaimer
VaultAI uses an on-device AI model (Chrome Prompt API / Gemini Nano) to generate summaries, extract key parties, dates, and facts from text you provide. AI-generated output may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
- Not Legal Advice: Summaries of legal documents are not a substitute for review by a licensed attorney.
- Not Medical Advice: Summaries of healthcare documents are not a substitute for professional medical judgment.
- Not Financial Advice: Summaries of financial documents are not a substitute for qualified financial analysis.
- Not Compliance Advice: The Extension does not determine regulatory compliance of any document.
You are responsible for verifying important information before relying on any AI-generated output.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Extension to:
- Process text that violates any applicable law.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or misuse the underlying AI model.
- Distribute the Extension's output in a way that misrepresents its nature as AI-generated.
Optional Passphrase Protection & Key Sovereignty
VaultAI provides an optional Passphrase Protection feature to secure your local history. If you opt-in to this feature, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Permanent Loss of Data: Your passphrase is never stored on disk or sent to any server. There is no mechanism for password recovery, reset, or retrieval. If you lose or forget your passphrase, you will permanently lose access to all encrypted summaries saved in your local history. The developer has zero ability to recover your data.
- Local Scope: Passphrase protection only restricts access to the local summary history stored inside this browser profile. It does not secure or restrict access to any exported Word files, text copied to your clipboard, or other copies outside the VaultAI interface.
- Local Security Boundary: This feature is designed to protect your local history from unauthorized access via physical/profile-sharing vectors. It is not a defense against compromised host operating systems, local malware, keyloggers, or other advanced vectors.
